Gastroenterology training
Dr Laube is an accredited Gastroenterologist and Hepatologist. She graduated medical school with distinction from the University of NSW. She completed her advanced Gastroenterology training at Concord Repatriation General Hospital and a fellowship at Macquarie University Hospital. She completed a PhD in IBD in Pregnancy at Macquarie University.
Expertise
Dr Laube treats all aspects of gastrointestinal and liver disorders, and is passionate about providing high quality individualised care to each of her patients. Her subspecialty interest is inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and women’s health including pregnancy. Other clinical interests include:

- Positive faecal occult blood test (FOBT) / National Bowel Cancer Screening Program
- Rectal bleeding and haemorrhoids
- Iron deficiency
- Constipation and diarrhoea

- Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)

Research and academia
Dr Laube has a strong academic career with multiple publications in peer reviewed Gastroenterology journals. She published the first national Australian guidelines for the management of pre-conception, pregnancy and breastfeeding in patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease. She completed a PhD on pregnancy in IBD, and has been awarded the prestigious RACP Basser Research Entry Scholarship. She is actively involved in teaching and holds a Conjoint Lecturer position at Macquarie University.
